Peter Bartis, Coordinator of the Local Legacies Project at the
Library of Congress, called me this afternoon to inform me that the file
defending Blue Jacket is now as large or larger than the file supporting Blue
Jacket Outdoor Drama. He has just added four more letters from our relatives and
friends. My report to the Library of Congress is now on file there and I hope go
get out copies of that to our various branches. Even though the Library must be
non-comittal on this conflict, affording each side the opportunity to tell it's
story, Mr. Bartis has gone out of his way in keeping us informed and I commend
him for that. Our crusade is obviously realizing some success.
If you would get this information to your relatives that do not have access to
e-mail, I would appreciate it. Also, any e-mail address of interested relatives
and friends that I probably do not have, please send them to me. I have split
this sending into smaller sections and my address book is not yet grouped
properly, however, any new addresses or corrections are welcome.
Yours very truly,
Carlyle
